Logan University to Provide Chiropractic Care to St. Louis Community College Student-Athletes

Logan University is proud to announce its partnership with St. Louis Community College (STLCC), allowing Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) interns to provide chiropractic consulting and care for its student-athletes. “This partnership will provide Logan interns practical learning opportunities while providing STLCC student-athletes with additional treatment and care,” said Logan’s Associate Provost of the College of Chiropractic, Kristina Petrocco-Napuli, DC, MS, DHPE (’23), FICC. “Logan is proud to build this relationship with STLCC.” In addition to chiropractic treatment and care, STLCC’s athletes will receive injury-related diagnostic and treatment services, nutritional counseling and more. From College Athlete to NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach: Zane Fakes

A lifelong athlete, Zane Fakes played high school and college football and knows the importance of injury prevention and strength and conditioning in sports. While in high school, he played football in his hometown of Plainfield, Indiana. As an undergraduate student at Ball State University, he majored in exercise science and played as a tight end on the university’s football team. After earning his undergraduate degree, Zane returned to Ball State for his master’s degree in sports administration. In a small town in northern Nevada, Jensen Radley, LAT, ATC grew up playing multiple sports, with basketball being her favorite. Fast-forward to today, she is making an impact in the sports health care field. Jensen attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training. Tyler Snodgrass, trimester 8 Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) student at Logan, was nominated as a student leader in honor of National Leadership Day. Growing up in Butler, Pennsylvania, Tyler attended Westminster College nearby, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in neuroscience on a premed track. Initially, his plan was to go into medicine. But as graduation neared, Tyler reconsidered his career goals and began assessing other professions in healthcare. “Once I began getting ready to study for the MCAT and apply for medical school, I realized it wasn’t the model that I wanted to follow,” Tyler said. “So, I …

Ed.D. Program Faculty Member Shares Experience with Online Learning

Sarah Carter, PhD, joined Logan as an assistant professor in 2014 when she began teaching courses for the university’s online Doctor of Health Professions Education degree, which is now the Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education (Ed.D.) program. She worked closely with Ed.D. program director Laura Rauscher, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS, CTMH, CCATP to grow the program and the courses she was teaching. Dr. Carter teaches a variety of statistics and dissertation courses, among other online classes.
